Just a little about me!

I am originally from Lemoncove, California where I was born and raised in a very small citrus farming community. Although I am not from a farming family, I spent my free time riding horses and raising FFA sheep and pigs. My four children were also raised in the farm rich central valley in California, spending their days horseback and raising 4-H animals.

Our ranch provided many children the opportunity to share in our country lifestyle raising sheep, goats, and pigs. We ran programs for homeschooled and special needs children. I was a 4-H leader for over 10 years in California and for 3 years here in Alabama.

I opened and operated two large home childcare programs in Tulare and Fresno California prior to moving here to Loachapoka.

Along with my experience as a large home childcare owner, I have worked as a para educator for special needs classrooms and a substitute teacher for Lee County. I have driven a bus for Lee County since 2018 and was voted in as the Town Clerk for Loachapoka in 2022. I currently serve as the Lee County Cattlemen’s Association Secretary. I have also been a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) in California and Alabama since 1998.

I am also a grandmother (they call me Ding!) of 6 beautiful babies and I want to continue to pass on my experience to the younger generations.

My passion for agriculture and my love for children has proved a wonderful combination over the last 25 years. Agriculture teaches responsibility, respect, compassion through the day to day interaction, hard work and results received in the end.

I am excited to share our farm with you and your children and hope to meet you at one or all of our Open Barns!
